PMI Nashville welcomes back Melonie Poole to bring us up to date on her journey with AI.

What the session covers
Programs event: A practical session for project managers on using AI as a partner, not a replacement for the PM role. We’ll open with a short snapshot of where AI is in August 2026 to frame the conversation, then I’ll share how my use has evolved from everyday productivity tools to narrative synthesis and building real solutions, with human guardrails throughout.

Goals for attendees

  • Get oriented on the current state of AI (brief context, not a deep dive)
  • Understand what to delegate to AI - and what must stay human (judgment, connection, ownership)
  • See a realistic progression: exploring → productivity → communication → building
  • Leave with clear next steps for their level (whether they’re just starting or already building)
  • Watch a live workflow demo after seeing real outcomes

Outline

  1. Where we are in August 2026 — a short current-state snapshot to frame the session
  2. Since last year — productivity to instruments & enablement
  3. Human guardrails — delegate drafts, not judgment
  4. My journey, tools, and practical next steps
  5. What I’ve built — including ATLAS (portfolio management) and AI Superworkers (community of practice)
  6. Live Copilot demo (~5 minutes) and Cursor demo (~10 minutes) — how I actually work
  7. Close + resources

Registration closes for this virtual program at 11:45 AM August 12
