Event Description:   As a new member of the PMI Nashville Chapter, we would like to welcome you to the Chapter! Additionally, we would like to provide you with some guidance on what PMI has to offer to you both personally and professionally. If you are new to the Nashville Chapter, please register to join us for this event! The event will be held on April 11, 2023 from 5 PM to 6 PM at Vaco (address is below). This event is free to members who have joined the Nashville Chapter since January 1, 2022. Light refreshments will be served.

Event Objectives / Agenda:  During this New Member Orientation event, you will meet current members of the Nashville Chapter Board of Directors who will explain what PMI has to offer. We will talk about the Nashville Chapter, touch on PMI member benefits, and answer any questions you may have.

Host / Presenter Bio:  Host for this event will be James Mitchell who currently serves as the Nashville chapter's VP of Membership.  James Mitchell received an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Tennessee and has a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee Space Institute. He has been a project manager for over 25 years. James started his career as a project manager at Arnold Engineering Development Center with the Department of Technology, and has worked as a Program Manager at GE Information Services, a Sr. PM with Central Parking Corporate Office, HCA, Comdata, CAT Ins, and now at Vanderbilt. Additionally, James has been a Scrum Master for Agile projects since 2010. James has been a member of PMI Nashville since 1997 and has served on the Board of Directors in the past as VP of Program, VP of Education, and the VP of Newsletter.
