PMI Nashville is proud to partner with Academy Leadership to bring you an outstanding leadership development experience. This Leadership Academy is an in-person professional development event where you can earn up to 8 PDUs.

The event will consist of two 4-hour workshops. 

The morning session (8:00am to 12:00pm) will build skills around:

1. Effective delegation for project success

2. Conflict management in a healthy and productive manner

3. Motivating others

The afternoon session (1:00pm to 5:00pm) will build skills around the system for Accountability:

1. Setting clear expectations (and goals)

2. Gain commitment

3. Inspect what you expect

4. Provide feedback (lots of time spent on giving effective feedback)

Attend one session or join us for both. Parking is FREE and lunch will be provided for everyone who attends either or both workshops, giving you an hour to interact with fellow project managers, build new relationships and have fun.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Ken Smith is a distinguished graduate from the United States Military Academy class of 1996, where he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He left the Army as a Major after 12 years as an Infantry officer, including two combat tours. Ken earned the Bronze Star Medal during his service in Iraq and is a Ranger School graduate. He holds a Master's Degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.

Ken lives his passion transforming good managers into inspirational leaders. He merges theoretical knowledge with real world experiences to deliver a unique leadership development experience. He is especially skilled at developing introverts and technical individuals after spending 9 years leading engineering teams in the oil and gas industry.
