As a new member of the PMI Nashville Chapter, we would like to welcome you to the Chapter! Additionally, we would like to provide you with some guidance on what PMI has to offer to you both personally and professionally. During this New Member Orientation event, you will meet current members of the Nashville Chapter Board of Directors who will explain what PMI has to offer. We will talk about the Nashville Chapter, touch on PMI member benefits, and answer any questions you may have. 
If you are new to the Nashville Chapter, please register to join us for this event! The event will be held at Vaco (address is below). This event is free to members who have joined the Nashville Chapter within the last year as well as anyone considering joining our chapter in the near future. Light refreshments will be served.

2. Meet other new chapter members
3. Be introduced to PMI, what PMI is all about, and has to offer you as a project manager professional.
4. Learn about the PMI Nashville Chapter History.
5. Learn about chapter member benefits. 
6. Learn about volunteer opportunities as a chapter member.  

Host Bio: 

James Mitchell received an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Tennessee and has a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee Space Institute. He has been a project manager for over 25 years. James started his career as a project manager at Arnold Engineering Development Center with the Department of Technology, and has worked as a Program Manager at GE Information Services, a Sr. PM with Central Parking Corporate Office, HCA, Comdata, CAT Ins, and now VUMC HealthIT. Additionally, James has been a Scrum Master for Agile projects since 2010.

James has been a member of PMI Nashville since 1997 and has served on the Board of Directors in the past as VP of Program, VP of Education, and the VP of Newsletter. He is currently serving as the VP of Membership.
